I'm so tired of Riley's rants about her controlling parents... Go see the old doc and get him to get them off your back!! She's such a whiner... I can't believe she burned down his place of work!!

A girl can get an idealized education reading these pages...

"I scoffed. “Why should I believe that I’m the thing that can make her happy?” “Because she tells you that you are,” he stated like I was stupid. “You don’t get to decide if you make her happy or not.” " love this between Wilson and his dad! Go dad!!

This date out with Wilson was cute but I feel such a disconnect from Riley's internal life and what happens to her... I wish the 2 flowed together...

Love this interchange between Riley & the guy but he has said everything the doctor has said and used almost the exact words. It's freaky and poor writing.... :(

Hate is fascinating because it can just drift away into the ether if you let it." Very good stuff - this book is a study in extremes when I wanted a lovely slice of life story!

I REALLY like this guy "Everyone has something broken inside of them, Riley. We all just wear it differently.”

This book just swings from extreme to extreme - I like that her dad sees it differently than the mom who wants to force and sees her as a little girl still. But it's all so random and not in a well developed way :( more group sessions...

Suddenly it's gotten really R-rated up in here! "To quell that fear she may have, I took her by the hips and held her tightly. I groaned against her when she rubbed herself on my lap." And this is tame compared to other stuff. This last 9% of the book is just smut and filler... I wish we could get real story!!

Forgot to write about the last time I read :( I'm not sure where this is going but it's gotten really boring - I feel like we should be at 75% or really at 90%! People who think about suicide struggle with it for the rest of their lives - there is no cure except vigilant people who love them and even then sometimes the depression is too powerful...

She's decided to liiiivvvvveeee! I do like Layla and wish we got a balanced view of how each girl handles this! I realized that I don't believe Riley's narrative... She's like a kitchen sink where all the thoughts got dumped in together when they should have been spread over all the girls. Visiting the grave was cool and I hope it keeps that girl alive!!
