Ok, I am enjoying this book, but Elizabeth should win an Academy Award in the category of "MC who is the least aware of events, her surroundings, and the people around her". She's just survived an attack by a vampire, as she discovers her bodyguard and love interest is a werewolf, so she naturally comments on the werewolf having a silly phone ringtone. I wish Goodreads allowed use of the "rolling eyes" emoji!

On a whim, I signed up for the free 30 day trial of Kindle Unlimited. Doesn't make sense since I prefer audiobooks. But THEN, I discovered that getting the free Kindle version of "The Protector" entitled me to the audiobook for $1.99! Err, OK!! Anyway, I'm enjoying this Essex book more than any of her others, and not just for the discount!
