Maybe I'm being sensitive, or maybe it's because it was Bollywood movie night at my house yesterday and I watched the beautiful Devdas, but....

The heroine in this book is named Shilah (Native American name), with a sister named Kale (Indian name), and she is described many times wearing a Sari. But she seems to be full Aryan white!!

I'll give it a chance but it's putting me off 😔
