In the late '30s, while he was in military academy in Manchuria, Park had posters of Mussolini and Hitler he used to bow to.

This is a wonderfully researched, readable book. I thought I knew a lot about this history, but have found I really didn't. For both better and worse, President Park Chung had an enormous influence on Korea's development. It is important to understand him, and this is a very important book for everyone interested in Korea.
