*PET PEEVE ALERT* There is a chapter from Isaac's POV!!!!!!!!!! Why? Why? Why? I hate when books suddenly switch to another POV.

I'm thinking back to my 17 year old self when this guy and I used to be together and all touchy-feely like Eli and Thea, and he liked me but he never said so I got together with someone else. From that perspective, it's Eli's fault that he never came out and said anything but Thea isn't like how I was, she actually knew that Eli had feelings for her. In my situation, it was all flirty fun.

Nope. Just nope. 17 and saying stuff like "I feel like my soul has been searching for you." No. It's beyond my realm of belief especially where there is no evidence to support this statement. AND, I don't believe a 100+ old person would speak like that.

Assuming makes an assistant of of you and me. Isn't there some test that's taken to see what element a person can wield? Is it all guess work? Or is it just like whoever the parents are that's the ability you have? That makes no sense.

Having a hard time with the sentence structure and flow of the story. And even though it's not real, it feels really unreal.

Really, why aren't people giving her more useful lessons about leadership? And she seems to think it's ok to treat Eli like a toy. And the ages of these characters...it doesn't really make sense. And in some ways is slightly disturbing.
