“You’re right,” I said. I didn’t look at him. “I’m sorry. I fucked up.”

He sighed. “I don’t want it to be a thing between us. But—” he shifted on the bed, propping himself up on one elbow. “Apparently, and Ebron, please try to contain your surprise, but apparently I have feelings and you hurt them.”

*Awww* [DTR...]

“I figured I would spend the rest of my unholy existence just fucking and killing. I wasn’t expecting... love.”

To my embarrassment, I actually sort of gasped a little and his eyebrows immediately drew in. Because yeah, I had said the L-word to him a week ago and he had reciprocated, but I sort of figured it didn’t count.

*SNORT* [Too fucking funny]

“Hello?”

“Hi Mom,” I said into the phone.

“Hi honey. What’s up?”

“Oh nothing. How are you?” La de da. Have you got a corpse in your car? Can you believe this weather?

"I decided the day would be better spent in my pajamas. My Netflix queue wasn't going to watch itself."

I'm not making much forward progress here lately, simply because I'm so worried that something dreadful is going to happen to the guys!

“Why didn’t you just leave them both in the trunk?" I asked, a little more sharply than I meant to. How was I having this conversation? How was I chastising someone for their poor body-disposal skills?

"I thought of how the news report had described the disappearance of the girl’s body as a possible case of 'grave robbing, something straight out of a horror movie' and the investigation as 'ongoing'. Then I thought about how the grave robber himself was probably sacked out on my couch, marathoning Netflix."

Leo said to lie low. Why is Ebron being so stupid...? After all that's happened....He definitely shouldn't do this. And the fucking cops need to lay off. They can't just abuse him like this.
