5/28.5:6. Bind Your Hair. The unnerving experience of visiting one’s fiancé’s family for the first time is amplified by the presence of locals - one in particular - and then goes off the scale with some enigmatic children and perplexing semi animalistic rituals in the woods.

4.5/23.5:5. The View. Having very recently re-read this in We Are For The Dark, it seemed a bit less intimidating and themes stood out a bit more clearly. Nothing stays the same; consistency is insanity (or the opposite may be true!). But the bigger picture, if there is one, continues to be just out of reach.

The Waiting Room. 4/19:4. Routine ghostly tale, though being by Aickman it has a mysteriously natural atmosphere and still seems to hide some secrets.
