Status Updates From Stone

So far, a space opera setting as it can hardly be better!

Mr Roberts doesn’t hide his influences but as he most often out shines those upon whose shoulders he stands, I shall mention no names. Safe to say that his stories are founded in storytelling thousands of years old. His imagination is mythic. His novels bear favourable comparison with the genre greats. And Stone is no exception. The prose and style are literary of the highest quality, but also crystal clear and fun

The premise of the story sounded so interesting that I don't know whether my expectations were too high going into it, or if it's just a 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 slow-paced book. Either way, my reading experience has been mediocre thus far.
