Mr Roberts doesn’t hide his influences but as he most often out shines those upon whose shoulders he stands, I shall mention no names. Safe to say that his stories are founded in storytelling thousands of years old. His imagination is mythic. His novels bear favourable comparison with the genre greats. And Stone is no exception.
