Status Updates From Sonora and the Scroll of Al...

It does not bode well for a book when there is a glaring grammatical error in the first sentence, and a sign the author is shaky on medieval weaponry a bit further on.
I will keep reading because there seems to be a story here.

Amazing underground architecture, artwork, stonework, from many different civilizations, are evident everywhere the 4 four friends looked, as they are shown around Shangri-la. Allora is still having visions that allow her to learn things without others knowing. There are traitors in their midst, but who? Will they discover who in time to prevent a war that will destroy mankind?

Bartimus is the leader of gnomes. They also have use of hadron energy bursts. They are friends of Allora.

A memory scroll is mentioned, along with the Eye of the Titans, and someone who is after them. Allora is having memory flashes that knock her out. The scroll may be in Alexandria. Kurt Swan, a history teacher, and Nurse Campbell, a friend of her Uncle Ben's, are friends.
Allora is an archer. She uses hadron shield bursts of energy for protection. Sas is her mentor and is teaching her how to use her powers.

Tanner likes Allora. Dr. Lucas Smith, 6 foot 5 inch, teacher of AP Calculus, discusses this Pythagorean theory the first day. Mention of the ancient city of Alexandria and its famous Library that was burned down, causes Allora to see a bright light, fall out of her chair and pass out. She is transported to another place and sees her Uncle Ben. He asks, "Were you followed Apollo?" Another low voice answers, "no".

Characters in story: Allora, a senior; Bell. her little sister; Aunt May; her mother, Milly; Uncle Ben; friend Katie; Swan; Tanner and Dax, school mates; Marcus, a new boy at school.

Sonora is the one who sent the UFOs. Sas is Allora's trainer. Mr. Swan. Guardians of Shangri La. Did the skimmers come from a dragon-class cruiser? Do the families need to return to their world?
sheriff Newton, Tanner's Aunt Lizi, Allora's teacher, Mrs. Ferris, Bell.
Hades, a spy who infiltrated the Guardians during the Rebel Wars passing intel to Salazar, an enemy of the youths and their families and friends.

The friends survive the attack on their plane but who saved them? Allora cannot go to the hospital. No one can know she was in the plane. Her Aunt May is stitching her up. Tanner Katie and Dax are in their homes recuperating. Brandon and Jenny are in the hospital. Allora's mom, Milly wants to know why Allora was up in the plane. Their attackers, Skimmers, drone aircraft, come through gateways into Tanner's world.

Characters: Dax, Allora, Tanner, Brandon, Jenny--all friends. They take a flight up in an old Cessna to fly a banner over a fairground in Portland, Oregon. Things quickly change from a simple flight, to being hit by something and one of the youths pulled outside the plane.
The Eye of the Titans is a purple obsidian orb found at Crater Lake.

Honestly, I want more development between Allora and Tanner. It seems the author is touching on more between them and then pans out to action/adventure and more sub-plots. Ughhhhhh
