This is weirdly ... bad. Like, quite bad. I've really enjoyed this author's hockey books, but this is just bad so far. Artlessly dropping exposition at high speed--the time's more "high-school essay written the night before" than "novel I want to keep reading." I'm giving it a few more percent but unless it improves dramatically, I'm out.
