Soooo... this was a very important fight, I usually don't like Hunter's version of VIF but this one was good. There was real threat, a reasonable sacrifice, cool powers, some jokes... it might have gone in the "too easy" direction but since so many fights are full of "everyone getting mortal wounds then drinking vamp/human blood to heal" I like this better.

GAHRGGGRRR. Everyone is so incompetent. Everyone has to be saved... Why is Leo even an MOC??? I liked it better when he came to kick ass in the other book, now he's just a warm body to guard, just a plot point, most of the time.

Trust the new vampire to have the highest EQ. I am glad Jane has the impulse to give him a hug but seems only Ed has the... other necessary things to actually to something. Ed is really climbing up my favourites ladder.

You know I never addressed this, but actually, I don't cuss. I don't ever cuss and almost never use crude language - in my mother tongue. In English, I am able to say the words in my mind but not write them or say them out loud. I don't think I said I appreciate Jane's stance on this topic. It's not making the book better or anything, but I like it on principle.
