Another translation error that has caused misunderstanding. Greek word “menounge” translated to “Yea, rather…” in KJV. More accurate translation is “more than that” in new KJV. Main point is, as St. Chrysostom states, “birth would have been no gain to her unless she was also good and faithful in all things”. Not disrespectful to Panagia (would go against teachings of being respectful to parents).
