Status Updates From When a Marquess Loves a Wom...

Took a break from reading for a few days, but started back today. It’s yet to be seen if this one is going to hold my attention.

Even with the prologue back story it’s unclear how their adversarial relationship began.

It is frankly too farfetched that her late husband <spoiler>never once consummated their 5 year marriage</spoiler>. Just ridiculous and too convenient of a background for these historicals where <spoiler>women are expected to be virginal. Insane to shoehorn a widow into that status</spoiler>.

With these shorter books, it's been harder to get to know, and get invested in, the characters. Having already seen Max and Juliet for the first 2 in this series has helped establish them and their dynamic early on.

This is one I'm struggling through right now. I'm just not into Juliet.
