How often do you address someone you are talking to by name?
These guys say each other's name with every sentence, even when they are the only two people in the room and they are in the middle of the conversation.

If you told a story is 1st person, I always thought it wasn't likely you'd actually be telling it as opposed to showing it.

Looks like I was wrong. And all it would take to fix it is adding dialogue.
