It’s becoming a slow read, Madison’s character is beginning to annoy me. In my view, she started out as a strong character but has been making choices and then trying to back out of the decisions she has made. I’m hoping to finish the book but it’s looking like a DNF if Madison’s character remains the same.

I’ve run a few sentences that don’t sound quite right and takes away from the reading a little. The transitions from place to place are non-existent and sometimes it’s alright, and other times it’s confusing. But I read an amusing scene featuring Arlo and I couldn’t but to laugh. Poor baffled mobster!

I’m liking most the first part of the story so far. It has a way drawing me in. I like generally like a Madison so far and I admire her morals and her loyalty to her mother’s wedding business. Roman is sexy as sin, I like his character and his stubbornness, but I don’t agree with some of his decisions so far. The author’s wording is a bit strange in places and I have to re-read some sentences.

Roman is manipulating their relationship again. He has to be in control...
"Choosing not to be with him was torture. Her head said she didn’t want to be with him but her heart said otherwise. It still irked her that he was trying to manipulate her back into his arms. The manipulation stung. Madison was her own woman and she planned to keep it that way."
