Status Updates From King Kong Vs. Tarzan

Tarzan shows up at last, on pg. 262.

Still waiting for Tarzan. Right here by this tree, more than halfway through the book. On a country road. Pretty soon a boy will walk up to me say that Mr. Tarzan will be coming tomorrow. I look at myself and say, "let's go." I do not move.

Tarzan finally mentioned on pg. 121, but it isn't until pg. 170 that the first member of Tarzan's supporting cast, the monkey Nkima, makes an appearance. Still handling Kong transport and feeding logistics.

Almost a quarter of the way through the book and not a hint of Tarzan yet. I’m enjoying this logistical look at how the crew of the Venture (called the Wanderer here after the 1932 novelization) manages transporting a giant ape, but I’d like to get to the meat of this project soon.
