Have picked this at random from the Audiobook Library never having heard of the author. Hope it's worth a read!

Didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I have done, so really hoping it has a good ending

Also: try to think of a secret worth killing over, so important that a large business of USAF would risk their reputations to do it. Now imagine that this secret is 65 years old. Still worth it?

Unless the witches end up being aliens or something insane like that, I won't believe it.

This is really starting to annoy me. Mia and whatshisface managed to have a couple of 2-line arguments (let's go here; no, let's not) without any major issues in the past twenty pages. Now the author wants to separate the two in order to put Mia in danger, and all of a sudden we have an instant (short-term) schism. Blah.

Heading to 1-star territory here people.

Also: our lady at Bellman who "wants to take the company down" just received notice of a meeting with HR in one hour. Duh duh duh!.

My feeling? .

Suspension of disbelief is becoming harder. Daisy was looking at a book about the USAF at the public library? That's all our protagonist needs to find the book in question plus extract the 8 pictures of planes named "Steel Witch". Really?

Also, I can't possibly see anything his mother could have discovered about the USAF that is (a) worth killing her over while also (b) involving witches.

Some of the infodumps are a little clumsy, but it's at least keeping my attention on the bus.

Nothing special so far, but it is competently written.
