This is proving to be an intensely stimulating experience. The reasons are surely not confined solely to the quality of argumentation presented. But wow Im actually enjoying having thoughts on texts that are not mere recapitulations of points ive just read.

The changes of scant explanation i think are slightly truthful here. I wish he’d used more than Aristotle to ground his conception of second nature. But the use of him to generalise the concept and supply juice for the account of the conceptualisation of nature is otherwise suitable and insightful.

Here he makes what I think is his most important point thus far. He’s given a suitable though quite challenging account to hold in thought of the background undergirding the (in his view mistaken) stances of Davidson and Evans. Quite convincing. And the consequence of rethinking what’s a very tempting conception of naturalism seems very interesting. This is all very clever.

omg babe he’s finally getting to explaining the difficulty with understanding or even explicitly considering the receptions of sensibility as saddled with or articulated in the mould of conceptual contents.

Here I am juggling my brain for thoughts. He argues very cogently. To better get a grasp on his frictionless spinning metaphor I think I must read and reread his commentary on Brandom’s view on empirical observation and others. Though to my memory he takes umbrage with Brandom’s motivating piece, not quite addressing the account. Bah I just have to cast another look to it. I agree with his putdown of Evans.

This man whose voice becharms me so. You make good points dear, however, I’d like you to give me your conceptions of conception so that I appropriately understand how experience is conceptually articulated in virtue on drawing on conceptual capacities of the experiencing subject. So far, the only hint that I’ve surmised pertains to the ostensible isomorphism between the conceptual and the experiential.
