Listening to the audiobook. When both MCs were talking about seeing the other again it was hard to tell what was flashback and what was ‘present’. Also a little too much inner monologuing and not enough story progression, but it’s still early.

The story of Hadley is so tough! I do love the gritty NOLA part that I have gotten to. The parts where the city that the author knows so well just camw to life. I really gotta go to Mardi Gras!! The book says there are beads all year long. Maybe I'll find me a Trapper there
