Status Updates From The Garrick Year

I’m actually quite hooked now! Emma is a very amusing narrator and she has something to say about such minor memory details that watching her fleeting emotions around the time in Hereford is a fun pastime.

What with the affair and secrecy also the plot is definitely now bringing the drama that the theatrical atmosphere calls for!

This was a rec from my aunty due to it referencing quite closely the theatre and it’s many characters. I’m enjoying Emma’s narration and internal monologue so far, has made for some amusing moments.
It hasn’t gripped me much yet but it’s a light read in terms of length after devoting my brain to Great Expectations.
