I have read this verse in the Bible and puzzled over exactly what it meant. Here it is! Speaking of one role of the Holy Ghost.
“Have not all of us on occasion puzzled beforehand over how to frame our petitions? “Hence is our candor assurance: ‘Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us…’ Romans 8:26”

“…disciples are to sacrifice themselves to do Jesus’ bidding with enough FAITH IN GOD’S TIMING to say…”Thy will be done”
“One disadvantage. Of thinking we own ourselves and blocks of time is that we then have a tendency to feel put upon by undesired and unexpected events and circumstances, as if we designed life’s curriculum rather than responding to it”
