Time for some criticism: While I like Leach, Goldberg at points feels like a stupid Watson. Also, her inner thoughts are often redundant because they get expressed verbally in the next line. Which annoys me more than a wee bit.

The Russian Czar mentioned by the author as finding Queen Victoria horrid married one of his daughters to one of her sons, and his grandson, Czar Nikolai II, was then married to Victoria's granddaughter. It's really hard if your own family is so horrid... or if your readers know that WW I was basically a family feud where royals are concerned. ;-)
