I am a bit confused on who’s pov this is written from and who are the characters

I'm not sure if this book is for me. I find Julia annoying. She's weirdly possessive of John, whom she barely knows. I was hoping if I stuck with this long enough all the weird shit would get explained but I don't think I'm enjoying it.

None of my frirnds tried to contact me, I mean I didn't try to contact them either because they clearly all hate me!
Also the mean girl didn't continue to engage in the sport after the coach called for a water break, what a bitch!

Atm i am not super engaged with this. A badass beatch in a pretty banal situation. What is the point of all her superpowers if this is just a book about a girl going to a regular school? I might keep going for a little while longer.

Omg she just dumped it. Excuse me? It's criminal to steal??? Am I supposed to like her or was this an incredibly clumsy way to provide the worldbuilding this book so desperately needed pages (chapters) ago?

Did Julia just steal John's phone just to see what he was googling? How does she expect to get it back to him?

It's a little hard to figure out the worldbuilding with this. I feel like there's a lot not being said.
