No other way to describe this than a beautiful tragedy so far. The way that tone carries through every page and chapter, no matter the actual content - even when the individual tonal goals of each chapter seem otherwise separate - is incredible to me. Can't wait to continue, yet I also really don't want to witness what I already anticipate is coming.

Quick read so far. Also super compelling. A lot of Sun Eater fan friends of mine adore this thing, and more of us are doing a readalong, so it was as good as any a time to hop on!
Feels topically like something sorta in-between Sun Eater and A Canticle Leibowitz, and it's awesome so far.
