I’ve just left Part 2 and have approached Part 3.
Part 2 was a genuinely entertaining adventure through different stories in science history. But Part 3 promises to be a real treat in evolutionary science and I’m already dying to get started, but alas, here comes sleep.

I’m finding immense joy in reading Gould’s essays. He is truly an admirable hero of evolutionary science. The Razumoveky Duet chapter made me feel proud to be a student of science - a quest for the people, not bound by borders and petty differences of class, sex or race. I loved Gould’s belief that we should judge “colleagues on the might of their ideas rather than the power of their positions.”
