Look, I'm reading this for easy brain candy. I know it's a silly YA. But I'm still annoyed by Tilla's narration style and the sudden anachronistic shift. We have a first-person past tense narration that often breaks to wink at the audience?? Is she journaling all of this?

30 pages in and I think Andrew Shvarts is a firm believer in sweaty chests and making out. Like, that's the protagonist's entire personality: she's a bastard daughter and wants to make out with hot guys...
