with every chapter it’s getting a little harder for me to stay invested. love the mystery around captain nemo so far but there are only a few interesting moments every few chapters that pull me in, and then it’s like 20 pages of measurements of how far they’ve travelled and descriptions of how annoyed ned is getting. like okay girl we get it

the mixing up of measurements is messing me up BAD. why are some of the sea creatures measured in yards but then also feet??? why is the submersible going 25 miles an hour but things are also still measured in leagues and yards. i’m tired
