Status Updates From The Assignment

Going into this blind based on seeing it’s a crime standalone graphic novel. Looks like a revenge or Hitman situation, no idea if I’ll like it.

So now "Frank" is a guardian angel of sorts for women being exploited by men aka he kills men... that sounds so familiar.

So the psychiatric ward scenes were in the future, who knew?

Wait? If the physician is already behind bars so to say, why is the royce there? How can Frank be a bait here and pose as a prostitute?

Oh, so Johnnie is the nurse talked about before and was helping the physician. That would explain a few things.

Frank and Johnnie seem to have gotten over the sex change pretty quickly if they can have sex now.

So one thug of the boss likes to punish prostitutes roughly, another likes to watch dogs die (Frank likes dogs), and now he has a "wife" and a dog... this is odd. I really don't get why Frank was turned into a woman.
And s(he is hit on by a guy who won't take no for an answer. And beats him up. I remember someone calling the story transphobic and mysoginist, but most of it looks like hyperfeminism.

Still no idea why Frank was turned into a woman by the physician. I am not even sure why she picked him except maybe because he was low enough on the power ladder to get some sort of revenge.

What? Johnnie recognized Frank's voice? Wouldn't that mean Frank still has a male voice? Then why did not one comment on that?

Maybe the author chose a sex change as a plot device to make it more shocking how such a world would react differently to a woman than to a man, as a woman probably would not have made the mistakes Frank makes here.

Ok, the physician is the psycho from the prior pages (flashback apparently), but who is she and why did she turn Frank into a woman? Any new face would have done. So why a sex-change?

That Jin Tao looks like he has an odd overbite. And that Frank has an almost neanderthal like browridge. And does he have facial scars or not? Looks odd.

some of the faces look pretty odd, but these shots of San Francisco looked very good.

And he snorts drugs... of course. Not a good start.

That fashion designer reminds me of a draq queen that is half-way there just because of his hair style.
