Status Updates From The Secret Life of Flies

flippin awesome

It makes me so sad to see a book with such a cool premise and clear knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject taken down by a lack of editing. Please, pop science writers, hire an editor!

Even male flies suck, they bring the female flies leftover presents from the previous flies that have rejected them

Forensic entomology sounds so cool!!! I used to think maggots were disgusting but then after working with them I realize they are actually kinda cute

Those flies that hang out in the seaweed on the beach are important

Worked with some flies today and got the motivation to start this book

picture placement issues frequently occuring a picture may depict one fly while the text has moved on to the next fly, so I am continually having to remind myslef that fly is not the fly being spoken of now.
