Status Updates From Đường Đua Của Những Giấc Mơ

SUMMARY: My book is a chronological narrative. The main character is Jessica, who survived a car crash when a car hit the bus she was sitting in. Jessica has to get used to her new lifestyle in her junior year in high school. This book takes place mostly at her high school and home. In conclusion, my book talks about Jessica getting used to living with one leg and wanting to pursue her dream of running in her future.

SUMMARY: There was a girl who lost half of her leg. She went to the doctors for a check up and it hurt really bad as the doctor was taking off the bandages. She was a runner so she was really sad and angry because she could not run anymore. She used to run all the time and now her dream was lost. The doctor was talking about giving her a fake leg but she was hopeless.

CONFLICT: My book's conflict is Character vs. Self. "But way, way down inside, I know they're right" (Draanen 56). Jessica is going against herself because she knows that what she's doing is wrong, but she's still doing it to feel better. So, the conflict is Character vs. Self because the main character is having conflicting opinions within herself.
