I think the lesson here is the same as Kinley told Flynn, whatever your reasons are, the minute you start showing interest in someone or flirting without intending to be serious about it, you are going to end up hurting someone because their feelings are involved as well, you can't flirt in a bubble.

I like the contrast between Kinley and other heroines who are often noble, she's very open, she had good friends and she confides in them, she says what she means. It's a very good quality and it's done subtley but it's super refreshing.

I think this book is an unexpected gem, it's hilarious!

Interesting, this book is backtracking a lot, it starts in the middle of the first book. Of course it will take some time to get to the main point because the main character is only 10. But to take us back so far is interesting
