Finished ch. 4. Just the epilogue left to go. IDK, I really felt like chapters 2-4 probably could be split into 4 chapters instead of just 3. That said, it's not like it'd help lmao, it's hard to explain.

Finished ch. 3. Again with some changes. I'm also a bit surprised with the pacing. Then again, I suppose there are quite a number of conflicts anyways, so it's all part of the buildup, not necessarily moving too slow, which was my first impression.

Finished ch. 2. Still some noticeable little changes, this time honestly felt somewhat unnecessary. In the novel, a certain conversation took place in a scene that really looked like boosting tourism as a bonus, but that aspect was completely taken away in the anime, which was odd consider they did so much work to present the scenery of the city, but didn't highlight it when they could've at that specific plot point.

Finished the prologue and ch. 1. So I like watched the anime and read the manga adaptations around 10 years ago (I did recently rewatched the anime though), am surprised there's some little changes that, ATM I don't fathom the reason for. That said, overall the adaptations are quite faithful so far.

This is really weird. There are more scenes different than the same, and it feels more commited to realism than theme or pace. I'm 20% of the way through already?? I'm liking it slightly less than the anime altho Takeda's writing style is very engrossing, even if it is a fan translation.
