I'm so lost. The whole conversation with Pastor Bob, and Jack still says "he knew better" than to shoot?

If the point of this book is sometimes killing is "OK" but there's a better choice... this is a poor way to portray it.

Also, would've been nice if Jack had an eternal struggle about his pacifism before the halfway point of the novel, me thinks... If he knew his pastor before, why not remember his words before?

Stopping here for the day. Must admit, I was trying to show some mercy for Jack, the MC, but that's hard to do at this point.

See, without logic, though, you try to protect your sister because women shouldn't go to battle (let's avoid this fact was more of Jack believing so for his religion, not because we saw him blatantly caring about his sister's safety...?) BUT it is OK to quote Scripture as another women is almost being killed without trying to protect her... HmMMM. JACK.

Just.... sedate him... you don't need a bag if you aren't the creepy dude from American Assassin and like torturing people.

The Lynx (artificial intelligence) to main character: Sorry, I forgot during the commotion.

Remembering my love/hate relationship with this book.

Augh, all the action!!! I'm gonna up for a while thinking about everything and trying to predict the ending.

Dad: *shakes head*

I have no idea what page I'm on, so I'm just guessing. XD

Then there's me, sobbing in my little corner over chapter 8. #ohthepain

Basically, if you want to read this book, you have to have a paperback copy, because it is just BEYOND gorgeous. And not only the cover, but the formatting and fonts are just perfection. 👌👌👌👌👌

It just started getting good! 🤓

Chris is such a weird "guardian angel". I love it. ;)

Do I have to go to bed? ;) Loving the chance to read this from beginning to end, and the humor is perfection.
