His book is so boring everyone is awful either bc the main characters are unlikeable and the narration is doing its best to depict all other characters as flat and terrible i hate it here

Char A: eye fucks Char B, licks his lips while gazing straight into his eyes, is absolutely checking him out

Char B: ugh what a prime example of a straight man

The dancing with a girl while staring at his guy crush could've been hot if it wasn't their literal first interaction in this book it's so fucking weirdddddd

Good gods the narrator is awful. Especially for Adam's voice.

All was well until... murder scene was iffy for me--I'm not a fan of murder mysteries, but I have been known to become a believer with the right delivery/characters. What killed it dead was the a sex scene almost directly after. Yeah, I get reaffirming life after seeing death, but the emotions were all rushed and off and disappointing. Skimmed it to see if maybe they'd halt and it was a build up scene, but. Dammit.

I can't decide if the dialogue is awkward and stilted, or if it's just the narration that's awkward and stilted... I think it's a bit of both.
