Status Updates From Keeping the Caveman: Quill ...

This is so vanilla and different from the other book that I’ve read by this author😑

Three chapters in.
Nice characters, intriguing story and writing and I rather like the cover. I'm spotting a few typos here and there and my spider sense is tingling (it reacts to typos...), but so far the novel looks promising!

“What made you leave the army?”
“Thought I’d better settle down, that’s what everyone else was doing. They had girlfriends back home, families, normal jobs. I’m not getting any younger, time I found some peace for myself.”
“You wanted to make peace with your mum first though?”
Maybe it’s the lack of descriptions about the characters before and after dialogue? We have no idea how or what they’re thinking

Hm something feels off - as i’m reading it it feels like each paragraph they’re doing or discussing something new, it’s jumping all over the place

"Josh is harmless, he won't do anything if that's what you're worried about," Mel argued.

Why do I have the feeling the exact opposite is going to happen? Oh yeah, because Josh is an asshole. I just hope he won't take advantage of Jackson, poor guy :(

I'm so anxious to find out where Jackson is, I really hope it's not a repeat of what happened earlier in the story. I'm loving this book so much even though I hate angsty stuff, but it works really well here.
