writing’s cool. a little early to say I’m getting bored, but admittedly I think some action wouldn’t hurt right now…

dude. this novel is next to perfect. I don’t know why, but this might become a five for me. Absolutely beautiful storytelling and a mysteriously eerie plot that works.

not sure i'm really feeling this book at all (disappointing!) but i AM almost done.

i’m at “just how the fire will burn” and ngl i’m falling asleep… previous short stories were pretty engaging though

Took me a while to recognise Though She Gets Home was not set in the modern era, was not set in Malaysia, and the god the narrator mentions has nothing to do with the abrahamic god.

Actually really enjoying the protest/demonstration scene and its parallels to the small town flooding.

"The Butler Opens the Door" was quite dramatic but I liked it
