I swear the Prelude and the main story were written by two different people.
The main story is awful. I'm throwing in the towel.

The Prelude was great. I was excited for what was to follow.
But so far the story proper is underwhelming. Unnecessary words, especially 'the young man' when we really should be in his pov litter the pages.
And conviently he just happened to be carrying a tent, emergency blanket etc.

So far I really want to punch the MC in the throat. He's got no right to even have lived this long. He did 1 thing right at the beginning and then wound up in his situation. He then proceeds to be a panicky bitch making his life constantly more difficult. Then, he has a chance at an excellent ally without binding, and he becomes idiot turbo douche. Fucking dumb little bitch. Gah.
