(2/2) Meanings and words change over time, and chapter 2 in this book went over the fact that "nationalism" is not a new concept, which is objectively true. I wonder if it is just that he may be disappointed with the change in the definition of "nationalism" especially in the West. The nationalism he describes is one that is older and traditional, less the national chauvinism associated with modern nationalism.
