Status Updates From Batman & The Justice League T1

Bueno!! Pero que obsesión tienen los japoneses con matarle a Jason Todd a Batman una y otra vez!!!

I didn’t think I’d witness Jason’s death again in this book, why did you have to do this to me I thought this one was safe😭

At this point my initial impression is the simpler art style, line work, and lack of color really shows in comparison to the colorful and detailed American DC Comics... I especially think the character design for Joker is lacking and overly simple .

At this point the plot is about a addictive poisonous drink made by the Joker.

That interview with the author did not help at all. I wish I could have gotten an explanation from her as to why she had all these Japanese remarks in here.

So this is this version of Orm Marius aka Ocean Master.... he looks way less badass without his helmet.

And I am almost done and yet this does not wake my interest at all.

So Luthor wants to create an ideal world, and Rui is mentally and genetically superior to his mother and so will be the perfect vessel for the information of the ley lines.

And one thing I forgot: Why can Superman's x-ray make him see ley lines? If he can see them, shouldn't everyone be able to detect them with x-rays or other equipment?

And now Bruce talks about the famous politeness of the Japanese when Rui is polite... does the author has to compensate for something?

The Justice League exists and has saved the world several times? And yet Rui still has no idea about them and only knew of superheroes from the tourist guide? How does that work? Even if this is a comic for beginners, that could have been handled way better.

Seriously, this style does not work for Superman, at all. Legs so muscular look really weird when they are so long and his head looks way too small.

Rui is not very reserved for a Japanese? Ok, that is not normal. I read tons of Manga and no one talks like this, so why does the author write her characters this way? Doesn't matter that she has Gordon say this, this is still very odd.

And the reason Luthor tells him his world reforging plan, why? And why does that plan feel so familiar?

Oh yeah, this style and its long arms does not look good on Superman or any of those muscles of his.

So the Robin here was Jason Todd... so... was there a Dick Grayson? Honestly. I think this is a comic best suited for people not knowing anything about these characters since it is written that way and when you know e.g. the basic Batman background, then you might be confused.
