Now I'm in the part that happens in post-apocalyptic Poland. I only recently realised how devastating WWII was when it came to cities and economy. After war, was basically post-apocalyptic world.

It's really weird to read about someone who apparently was a famous poet and was connected to politics but I have never heard of her before. Also, weird to read about offline artistic life. Like how much people were meeting each other and how much connections they had.
Also, the whole noblesse oblige was an actual thing.
The elites now have completely abandoned moral responsibility for less fortunate.

Weird to realise that in late XIXth/XXth century, being a poet was a thing and poetry was popular and culturally significant.

Started reading a biography of this early XXth century female poet. Picked it up from library's women's day selection and now I finally felt like starting reading it. It's surprisingly easy to read.
Also, will have to return books to that library, so I wanted to check if it's something I'm going to read or return.
