Status Updates From El libro del desasosiego

“No intelligent idea can gain general acceptance unless some stupidity is mixed in with it. Collective thought is stupid because it’s collective. Nothing passes into the realm of the collective without leaving at the border – like a toll – most of the intelligence it contained.”

I have realized, as much as I feel deeply comforted by this book that I need to take it slower. As fragmented this book is, it is also designed to be absorbed in fragments too such that it can spread its work over more time and perspective. So far my favorite frags.: 1,3,20,31,40,51,53,58,73,78,87,90,91

The ramblings of a pessimistic viewpoint do showcase just how to enjoy the comfort of one’s own misery. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is interested in a thing or two on “finding simplicity in life.”
