Not really sure why, but I felt like this was a visualization of "don't talk to strangers" and the knowing adult end up suffering the consequences of not heeding such a warning.
Could there be a deeper meaning to the tale? I think so, but not sure what it could be.

This was a good one. It read like a set, with an intriguing build up and perfect punchline.
This short had a great protagonist that questioned their sanity because of the unseen antagonist, which was gaslighting them. And despite the trauma suffered, the resolution is quick and believable.

I'm guessing it was commentary about people not being true to themselves, and indulging in made up avatars?

So, why did the caller think they could communicate with the future, exactly? And why be a jerk about it when they couldn't tell it worked?
I know the story is a commentary about how the future couldn't really care more about the past, and how the past tries to pass on wisdom but at the end of the day they just say "screw it"
If that's not it, I totally missed the point.

Couldn't help but wonder why so many abductees experienced the same type of thing, if no truth is present at all.
There was sort of a "nothing matters" vibe when I finished the last panel, and I am not sure I agree with that sentiment. Especially after reading someone experiencing the encounter.
