This book had all the magical ingredients but failed to deliver so far.
Firstly, the characters in the book are largely one-dimensional except for the lead characters. Despite being a politics heavy book it does not prioritize fleshing out rival characters and their claim by action i.e show not tell. Secondly, women are props who exist only for men to have sex with or cheat on.
Hope it gets better.
