I think it would have helped immensely if I had read A Dandelion for Tulip before starting this. I feel like I’m missing something plot wise and David is mentioned so much. It would have been good to understand Clematis’s character from outside perspective because I’m both annoyed on his behalf for how the others treat him and bewildered by his actions towards the humans.

The story is just dragging and I feel nothing slightly romantic between the MCs so far. It’s just mentioned over and over that Flor is in love with David and should be with David and how amazing David is. I’m returning it, but I might try rereading book 4 because it sounds way more up my alley and I rated it 5 stars before.

Well fuck me. If you told me the clematis book was the one to punch me in the heart and leave me sobbing in just the first quarter of the book I WOULD NEVER HAVE BELIEVED. But damn. Shit. Here we are. Fuck. All the small marks of emotional abuse in everything he does.

Oh me of little faith lol. It did not go the direction I thought. And clematis' panic attack at subtle workplace abuse made me almost start sobbing. I've had that happen to me before, someone in authority constantly changing the rules but you can't report them because they technically didn't do anything wrong. Fuck he needs a long hug where he can cry if he wants. I hurt for him.

I'm nervous about this one.... The whole "the blind guy is the only one who can appreciate clematis cause he can't see how hot he is" bit is... Hnnngggggg..... I TRUST THIS AUTHOR BUT I'M ALSO NERVOUS ABOUT WHERE ITS GOING
