Juana I was typical for her time and class as far as bigotry, bias, homophobia and racism.
Which can make it a struggle to feel sorry for her.
Still her father, husband and son are all horribly abusive to her.
It's a bit heartbreaking.

This is not so much about her life as a judgement on her ability to own her life.
Not what I was looking for really but the only biography I can access🤷🏽‍♀️

The Muslim population was being oppressed, whatever they engaged in to protect themselves can't be confused with mutual combat.
Only mutual combat is 'atrocities on both sides' territory. In this case, Castile was wrong.
