Status Updates From The Story of a Long-Distanc...

DNF at 49% because I’m bored out of my mind. I don’t care about most of the current storylines and there’s not enough focus on the main couple. If it was in dual perspectives, I think it would be better because I’m more interested in Ira’s thoughts, feelings & life than Rohan’s.

Thinking about DNFing this…I’m so bored. There’s hardly any romance + drama and that’s what I’m here for.

The book is starting to pick up now :) we’re getting into the issues within the marriage and Ira is talking about her feelings

I’m listening to the audiobook instead of reading the book and the narrator’s voice is so stinkin cute

It’s bothering me that the conversations between the main couple have been summarized since Ira moved instead of having us read through the conversation ourselves. Also, there’s too much reminiscing of the past on Rohan’s end and I’m getting bored. I want to hear about their struggles in the present, not the fluffy moments from when they lived nearby.

I’m not sure if this is dual perspectives or not, although I’m leading towards not because I’m on the fourth chapter and we’ve only gotten Rohan’s POV, but I hope to get inside Ira’s mind soon. It’s hard to read her because she’s not very emotional and I want to know how she feels about long distance and/or Rohan.

This book is interesting for a few reasons. First, it’s a romance about a couple that’s already together, which is uncommon. Second, they’re about to try long distance, which isn’t a trope we see much in literary fiction. Third, the H is more emotional than the heroine, which is also uncommon because MeN mUsT aCt ToUgH.
