So I was struggling to get to this point and didn’t really want to read the end because it just feels really dragged out/ forced with so many things not answered. So I checked the reviews and found out it has a terrible rushed ending (which I thought might be the case) with some silly things happening to “tie it off nicely” but don’t work. So DNF @80% in the last book of the series, book 5 😭

This is what I don’t understand with some books. You lead up to an event that the FMC is anxious about, then skip the event and go forward in time and then have the FMC tell us in a retelling of what happened when we were just present with them to begin with. Why couldn’t we see her investigate with her former team and the reception she got.
