By 50% nothing much has happened, they meet, and they talk. Some subplot about social services but not enough to keep the reader interested. There’s no chase, no angst, both characters are into each other from page 1. So far it’s a 4/10. I’m missing action, plot, heat, all i’m getting is small talk and kids.

Aaaand skipping the sex scene, because this just really isn't working for me ew ew ew... it's not the guy's voice, bc he's one of the narrators in uhhh whatever that book is with cody and the pastor's son and that was fine. Uhh pretty big continuity/editing error here... Connor went out to help an old lady with a fallen tree after a storm, came back, Beau asks 'how's your friend', and Connor says friend rescheduled for Monday, 'oh, so where were you?', 'just driving around'.. nooo. Friend was already scheduled for Monday. Everyone knows that. You were out helping a neighbour.
