This was a very interesting story, I just didn’t realize until nearly finished that it was part of a duet. I knew it was the first book in a series, but somehow missed the duet aspect.
So....cliffhanger!!!
I plan to finish the duet as the story was intriguing for sure. The romance portion didn’t really begin until chpt 19. So...slow burn.

I’m more than half way with the audiobook and these 2 characters haven’t even gotten together, other than a brief obnoxious interaction. Seriously???
